Sentosa

It is an island resort famous for its breathtaking views from Faber Peaks to the Sentosa Island. It lies in the southern coast of Singapore and is well connected to the city by road, cable car pedestrian boardwalk and monorail. Lying in the area of 4.71 square kilometer with a population of 1690 (As of 2017), this island resort offers a panoramic view of the city as well as many fun activities such as water park, aquarium with almost 100,000 marine animals, concerts, shows and the only cable car rides that links the mainland to the Sentosa island itself.

Gardens By The Bay

Consisting of three waterfront gardens, Gardens by the bay is an award winning huge, colourful, futuristic park in the Singapore’s bay area. The park spans of beautiful 101 hectares garden in the central region of Singapore, next to the Marina reservoir. People here can visit the Cloud Forest, OCBC Skyway, Dragonfly & Kingfisher Lakes, Supertree Grove and Flower Dome.

Merlion 

A mythical creature depicted as having the head of a lion and body of a fish, Merlion is the official mascot of Singapore. This iconic figure standing at a height of 8.6 metres lies at the waterfront part of the Merlion Park and spouts water from its mouth. This place was established in 2002 and offers awesome without any entry fee in the entire Merlion Park which is a quite rare thing in Singapore.

Universal Studios Singapore

This is a major attraction in Singapore and is the first and only Universal Studio themed park in the entirety of Southeast Asia. The park has seven themed zone and features shows, attractions and more than a two dozen rides.

Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Owned by the Las Vegas Sands corporation, Marina Bay sands is an integrated resort overlooking Marina Bay in Singapore. This place is a luxury destination and consists of extravagant hotel rooms and suites as well as high storey towers. The resort has been known to have transformed Singapore’s skyline. The resort also has infinity pool but unfortunately, it’s only available for hotel guests. 

Best Time To Visit

Even though Singapore is a year round destination, the best time to visit there would be from February to April when the rain is comparatively tad lower than rest of time in a year. But if someone wants to visit there only for shopping then the best time to visit the island is between June to August. Also, since Singapore is a high demand tourist place it’s advisable to have the hotel rooms booked two to three months in advance. 

Major Airports

Singapore has three major airports namely; Changi International Airport (SIN), Paya Lebar Airport (QPG) and Seletor Airport (XSP). Changi International Airport, commonly known as Changi, is a major civilian airport in Singapore. In Asia it’s also the one of the largest transportation hub and considered as the best airport in the world. Also, there are no domestic flights in the country.
